finished my medical microbiology paper 1 exam 15 minutes ago.. and once switch on my phone, see 2 miss call from my dearly fucking housemate who sent another sms scolding me PIG! huh!
okok... i think some of u is worry bout my paper rite.. here is the analysis of the paper during the exam~
8.30am - i almost late for the entrance... cos i 'lan lek' walk thru the sunway library entrance think to walk across to the monash exit de.. mana tau the library haven open.. lunckily the librarian open the door for me.. or else really fucking late d... so this incident make me nervous when i saw nobody in front of mph - mean every1 is sitting inside d la...
8.35am - "U have now 10 minutes reading time" i pray before flip thru the paper... first in my sight is SYPHILIS ! yeah! at least i got study~~~ then browse thru the question...
question 1: (started at 9.20am)
discuss about the following againt microbial infection:
a. macrophage
b. inflammation
c. interferon
er... not really know wat inflammation is edi.. cos val say i like inflammation al ot but asking me don keep thinking of inflammation.. mana tau? now really come out inflammation... for macrophages and interferon still can answer la...
question 2: about dengki fever, which i din study~ OMG... cham liao... pass!
question 3: (started at 8.45am)
(i) trimethoprim and sulphonamide! mode of mechanism and examples:
ok.. the mode of action still ok, but the example of infection then use this treamtment i not sure... jus simply say the most common disease which is UTI tat the only infection that i confirm as the treatment.
(ii) discuss live vaccine and killed vaccine. give 2 examples of each!
一分耕耘，finally 有一分收获！this chapter i study so many time n now finally come out.. though it is only 1/3 of the question, wat i writen in should be enuff to get the 1/3 mark gua... hope so lor...
(iii)discuss the side effect of vaccination
er... actually when proceed to this part oledi exceed the planing time for anwser 1 question. so in order to have time to answer the rest, this part i simply write... very short lor.. hope still can get some mark
next! question 4:
discuss Entameoeba histolytica in:
a. pathogenesis and clinial features
b. list another organism which is similar to this organism?
c. the laboratory diagnosis for both organism
d. preventive measure
ok... actually i left this question as my fourth choice, which i start doing at 10.15am...but? i start doing the first part, pathogenesis... really cant recalled back all the life cycle bout the oocyst and trophozoite, then the second part i cant remember the organism for cryptospirodiosis... i know the disease but the FULL NAME i forget d.. is Cryptosporiosis parvum? or Cryptosporiodia parvum??? donno la.. playing match word for few seconds.. then i give out d... left 25 minutes for my last bet!
question 5:
Discuss syphilis in the following:
a. etiology agent
b. clinical features and pathogenesis
c. laboratory diagnosis
d. treatment
ok.. this question i started doing at 9.45am... and really forgot wat had i write cos these sheet consider the most wordy among all the answer sheet d... though still not confident to score afterall... and i now i not sure whether the part D got ask prevention or not.. which i really din mention in the answer... walao....
and finally question 6:
encephalitis and genetal herpes caused by HSV-1 and HSV-2
1. Discuss the clinical feature of encephalitis and genital herpes
2. discuss the laboratory diagnosis for both encephalitis and genital herpes includes
a. specimen to collect
b. lab test to performed
3. wat antiviral drug will be use? wat are the mode of resistant by HSV to these antiviral drug?
ok... actually this is the exact same question that came out last year.. and cause me screw up again.. though i got study HSV and was hoping it come out... yet when i was this, i really hesitate whether to take it or leave it.. who know, my last choice of entameoba make me to choose this HSV, without any hesitation cos no time to think and draft d... so jus simply bang the answer lor
the clinical feature simply bang few lines,
laboratory test still ok.. though donno correct or not..
and the antiviral i only know acyclovir is using, but i din study anything about the mode of resistant about this drug.. so? tat part give out la.. but still got writing some thing like mutation of gene la... blar blar blar la...
well.. tat's all of the questions and my reaction... so actually wat had written in the previous answer sheet is not proofread b4 submit.. cos langsung really no time to check d... so hope tat i din left out any BIG POINT there la...
tat's all for PAPER 1... paper 2 will be update on friday after i finish the paper!
